
Pakistan Cycle Polo team played six matches in India,which were further boost the sports ties between the two neighbors. The 14-member Pakistani delegation, grouping nine players and five officials,arrived via the Wagah border on July 1 2005 and played first match in Patiala in Punjab. where they were received by the Cycle Polo Federation of India and Punjab Cycle Polo Association officials headed by Mr. MK Yashwant Singh Alwar,President, Cycle Polo Federation of India. The Indo-Pak Cycle Polo series was being played for the first time. In this series, Pakistan team has played five matches on 02, 03, 05, 08 & 11 Jul 2005at Patiala, Chandigarh, New Delhi, Chattisgarh and Jaipur respectively. On 05 Jul 2005, the Pakistan team have played with the IAF Cycle Poloteam at Air Force Soccer ground, New Wellington Camp, New Delhi.The match was being organised by Air Force Sports Control Board.The Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi PVSM AVSM VM ADCwas the Chief Guest. The IAF team was being led by Warrant Officer JS Nagar.
